Foundation day of Akal Takht

Today the foundation day of Akal Takht was celebrated with all the religious fervour that the occasion demands. Akal Takht’s literal meaning is The Throne of the Timeless Being. The Timeless .Being the only True Lord of the whole Universe, the Creator has been provided a throne on this earth to reign over this World, though it is symbolic but the concept behind it is the Immaculate thinking of the Sixth Master Guru Hargobind ji. It is situated exactly in front of the Darbar Sahib but at a higher elevation than the humbling location of the Harmandir Sahib where the singing of Lord’s praises take place in a continuous flow. The Lord of the Universe is but all powerful Master who is fearless, without rancour, benevolent and bountiful. He is fearless and the ultimate Truth so all His commands will be just. and Sikhs. Every Sikh anywhere in the world is bound by the dictate issued from here. The dictates from here are taken with utmost humility by all Sikhs. Though a symbol of temporal power, it is never misused to create hatred, fear or doubt against any caste, race or community. True to its Name it remains the throne of the all gracious Lord.
