The Guru ward is blessed with the Name of the Immaculate One. With this Name he burns his ego and singing the praises of the True Lord, he remains absorbed in the True One. Through the True Name the God-conscious person not only is blessed with sublime honour but with the knowledge of all three worlds II 42 II
The Yogis ask: What was the origin of life?
Which faith has the sway in the present time?
Who is your Guru? Whose disciple are you?
 What religious discourse makes you detached from the others?
Hearken O boy Nanak; you present your exposition of this faith.
 How does the Lord ferries across the terrible ocean? II 43 II
The Guru says: The breath is the origin of Life and from that first breath onwards the sway of the Lord’s faith continues. The Lord is my Guru whose meditation I His, disciple greatly love. By uttering the discourse of the Ineffable Lord I remain detached.
Nanak, all the Ages through, God the cherisher of the world is my Guru. Only One is such Unique Lord meditating on whose divine discourse the man crosses the terrible ocean and thus God-conscious quench his fire of the self conceit II 44 II
Yogis ask: How can one chew iron with wax teeth?
What is that food with which one could still the hunger of ego?
How is it possible to live in a house of snow wearing the clothes of fire?
Which is that cave where the mind becomes stable?
How can you realize that He is all pervading, here and there and everywhere?
What is that realization, that makes the mind merge in the mind itself? II 45 II
Guruji’s answers: By stilling his I-amness and mine-ness and effacing duality man becomes one with the Lord and stable remains his mind in such a cave (that is imaginary caves where mind merges in mind and becomes stable in other words the wandering of mind stops). The world is hard for wayward wandering fool. By learning the word of God one can even chew iron with waxen teeth. The realization that God is within and without and everywhere the fire is quenched and mind merges in itself O Nanak II 46 II
Once the mortal realizes the truth of Lord’s existence the fear of Lord helps to still the ego. Once the ego is stilled the realization, the reflection of His Name and that He is the only One and there is none other like Him comes. Enshrining His True Name within his mind the body and soul is imbued with coolness and He is ready to abide in the house or mansion of snow.
Through the merciful glance of the Beloved Lord the man quenches the fire of sins of lust, wrath and poisonous mind and able to put off the dress of these fires O Nanak II 47 II
