My shyness and hesitation are gone, the veil of illusion has left like crazy mother-in-law and all the doubts of it are removed from my mind and head and I walk freely unveiling my face. My Beloved Lord has summoned and I feel the joy of His Name. With the grace of the Guru, imbued with His Love I have become His carefree maiden (fiancée) II 12 II
By meditating on the Name jewel of the Lord’s Name is real profit making. Avarice, greed, profit making and egotism are all evils. Ignorant and foolish people fall prey to slander, false praises and back-biting and become blind and wayward. The mortals come to this world for earning some profit and he labours and get cheated by all the illusions. The faith in the Almighty and meditating on His Name is the only profit O Nanak that earns you honour of being true sovereign King II 13 II
Following the illusions of wealth the world has taken a path to death. No one is able to undo the potent effect of illusions. If the wealth comes to the home of a grovel clown both rich and poor give him respect. If wealth comes to the home of an idiot people start calling him wise. Without the devotional service to the Lord the world can go mad. He (God) within all beings, He manifests in someone on whom He bestows His Grace II 14 II
The friendly, without animosity Lord is ever there for us all, all through the ages. He doesn't involve in any dispute nor is He born, nor will He die. Whatever you see (all His creation) He is seen in it. He creates the body and tags His soul in it. He has created everything still is He able to keep aloof whereas the whole world is entangled in various strife and affairs. He is the life of the world and He shows the way to unite with Him. Practising pious deeds the mortals can obtain peace. If we don’t have His Name can we be emancipated? II 15 II
