Shlok First Guru

The desert is not satiated with rain and fire’s hunger never gets quenched. The Kings are never satiated with their dominion and has anybody ever filled the oceans?

How much he searched for True name? The entire search for His Name has never ever satisfied Nanak II 1 II

Second Guru

Only until the mortal searches for the Name of the All pervading Lord a human birth cannot become profitable.

The world ocean is crossed over by the grace of True Guru.

After deep deliberations Nanak has come to know that all is done with His Will.

The creation is in full control of the Creator and He sustains it with His might II 2 II

Pauri

The minstrel has found his abode in the court of the Lord.

By singing His praises the lotus heart is blossomed.

He has obtained the perfect understanding from the Master and his heart is filled with joy.

All the enemies (vices) has been beaten and thrown out and that makes the good friends happy.

The right path is shown to them who serve the True Guru.

By meditating on the True Name the fear of death has vanished.

The minstrel who sings the praises of ineffable Lord gets adorned with His name.

By holding fast the capital of virtues Nanak has met his beloved Lord II 23 II
