Shlok third Guru

A mortal is born in fear and he abides fear in his mind and then dies of fear.

Nanak says; if the mortal could live in the fear of Lord his birth on this earth would become fruitful II 1 II

Third Guru

Without the fear of the God man lives a very long life and enjoys the pleasure of pleasures.

Nanak says; if he departs without that fear of God that never awakens him, his face never becomes bright and he leaves with blackened face from this world II 2 II  

Pauri

When the True Guru becomes merciful the desire is fulfilled.

When the true Guru becomes gracious the grief never comes.

When the True Guru becomes gracious pain is never felt.

When the True Guru becomes merciful then he enjoys Gods love.

When the True Guru is gracious then what fear of death can man have?

When the True Guru becomes merciful then the body comes to peace.

When the True Guru becomes merciful then nine treasures are obtained.

When the True Guru becomes merciful then True God absorbs him within him II 25 II
