Bara maha Guru Arjun Devji ;

 Guruji stress upon to strengthen personal character of the beloved (wife – Sikh) who is on path to search of union with Lord Husband.

Kaam krodh naa mohiye binse lobh suaan II sacche marag chaldiyan ustat kare jahan II athsath teerath sagal pun jiy daya parwan II

Lust and wrath shall not seduce you and the dog of greed shall be destroyed. The world praises those who walk along the path of truth. If you take pity on the fellow human beings will be acceptable in His presence than taking ablution baths at 68 pilgrimages and giving alms.

If one attains this virtue God will bestow his merciful grace.

Maagh sucche se kandhiyah jin pura guru meharwan II

In the month of maagh those become pure whom the Perfect Guru has bestowed His merciful grace.

Phalgun nit salahiye jisno til naa tamaye II jin jin naam dhiyaiya tin ke kaaj sare II

In phalgun ever praise the One who has not an iota of malice. All those who have praised and meditated on His Name have been blessed and their deeds rewarded.

Prem bhagat tin paiya bhikhiya naa jare II Kur gaye dubidha nassi puran sacchuh bhare II

All those obtain love and devotion and burn not in the sins of their own that have crossed darkness of ignorance and doubt and filled their minds with truthfulness.

Parbrahm prabhu sevde man andar ek dhare II            

They serve the Supreme Lord Master who have placed the Unique One in their heart.

True to the House of Nanak Guru Arjun Devji warn from acquiring any superstitions about the auspiciousness of the moment, day, seasons and months.

Maah divas murat bhale jis ko nadar kare II Nanak mange dars daan kirpa kareh hare II

The months, days and moments are auspicious for those on whom the Lord casts His merciful grace. Nanak asks for the boon of your Sight O God ! shower your benediction on him.
