Bara Maha Guru Arjun Devji

Katak karam kamavane dos na kahu jog II parmesar te bhuliya viyapan sabhuh rog II vemukh hoye ram te lagan janam vijog II

In the month of katak you do the good deeds and it is not good to blame others. By forgetting the Supreme Lord all the ailments cling to the man. Those who do not believe in the presence of Omnipresent Lord suffer the pains of separation in every birth.

Katak hove sadhu sang binsay sabhuh soch II

In the month of katak by keeping the company of saints all the anxieties of mortals depart.

Manghar mahu sohandiya har pir sang baithadiya II tin ki sobha kiya gani jieh sahib meladiya II

In the month of maghar beautiful are those who sit in the company of the beloved Lord. How can their glory be measured whom the Lord blends with himself.

Manghar prabhu aradhana bahud naa janamadiya II

Those who meditate on the name of the Master in the month of maghar are not born again.

Pokh tukhar na viyape kanth milya har naahu II

In the month of Poh (the coldest month) all those do not feel the cold whom God Husband hugs to His bosom.

Bihkhiya poh na sakai mil sadhu gun gaahu II jahu te upaji tehu mili sachi preet samah II

In the company of saints sing the praises of the Lord and no sin can touch you. Being absorbed in the love of the True being the soul gets blended with what it has sprung from.

Poh suhanda sarab sukh jis bakhse veparvah II

Poh is beautiful and giver of all peace to him whom the Carefree Lord grants pardon.

Maagh majanu sang sadhua dhuri kar isnaan II har ka naam dhiyaye sun sabhna nu kar daan II janam karam mal uttare man te jai guman II

Wherever there is dust due to the congregation of saints go there, deem it as a bath of ablution at holy places. Listen and meditate on the name of the Supreme Lord. Once you absorb this recitation of His Name give it as alms to others. Doing this all the filth of evil actions that man has collected in several births will get washed away and the ego gets vanished from your heart.
